I was the girl who used to run to the gym the minute I could escape without being spotted by my boss. Now, going to the gym and reporting on the hottest fitness trends for fit-junkies like me is my REAL JOB. Dreams do come true, people!
So hot right now:
I’m loving HotDrop, a new “hot” yoga-wear collection that’s about to drop. They make a snakeskin print hot yoga bra that I’m dying to slip into and their shorts flatter all kinds of legs, not just skinny ones.
I’m also really excited about Nike’s new FuelBand because I think it’s awesome that a sport brand finally created their own metric for activity that isn’t based on calories!
What’s your favorite MizzFIT media released recently?
I quite like this Style Up 2 Shape Up for the Cold video that I just released. The fitness fashion in it couldn’t be more perfect for the abusive weather outside. My passion in life is making fitness more enjoyable and digestible for women - I truly hope that comes across.
Best Fitness Fashion Tip:
Moisture wicking panties. Burn the cotton. There are too many vile consequences of wearing sweaty cotton panties - I’ll spare the men from vomiting in their mouths. If you don’t have a pair, hit up Lululemon or get these from Moving Comfort.

I always die laughing from it - and the “upside” is that he did lose a ton of weight, and improved his health by sticking to his routine! Here’s a pic of him now. I would kill to sportswear style him!
What's your own fitness routine?
I work out every day for 2.5 hours and my weekly routine is never the same. I’m a fitness guinea pig and I like to keep things fresh and fly. But, there are some classes I can’t live without:
I make sure to alternate high impact workouts and strength training with more restorative exercise like yoga, Pilates and urban rebounding.
You’re known for your classhole ways. Tell us more.
I list all my favorite classes on this spiffy MizzFIT Workout Directory I created for MizzFIT.com but honestly I’ve been secretly going to RateYourBurn to find new favorites. I’m totally cheating on myself.
Which class do you go to when you need to…
- Tone up? Station Fitness Powerplate classes ‘cause that sh*t really works.
- Escape NYC? SurfSET Fitness ‘cause it’s almost like hitting the beach.
- Get ready for a date? Body & Pole ‘cause sexy workouts lead = sexy state of mind.
- Pray? Jivamukti Yoga ‘cause yoga is a religious experience there (in a really good way).
Class you’ve been meaning to try:
I need to get my butt to the Nalini Method and I’m checking out PedalNYC’s 30/30 class next week (30 minutes of spin and 30 minutes of TRX core work) which I’m super stoked about.
